Ordering & Shipping

Ordering & Shipping

I've been burned by the "In Stock" promise before. Are your products really in stock?

We get it! We are finding more and more companies use the phrase "in stock" to mean "in stock SOMEWHERE... we hope!" When we say "In Stock", we mean that we have it in stock, here, in OUR on-site warehouse. If you're ever in doubt about a particular part, give us a call and ask us to walk back there and count them for you!

When will my order ship?

We make every effort to ship in-stock orders on the same business day when the order is placed before 3pm Central time. Note that orders with Free Shipping may not ship the same day, depending on our warehouse workload.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Depending on the destination address...
Free Economy Ground Shipping can take up to 10 business days.
Ground Shipping can take up to 5 business days.
We also offer 3 Day, 2 Day, and Next Day shipping options. Note that Next Day is currently the only day-guaranteed service available.

How much do you charge for shipping?

Orders over $99 shipping within the 48 contiguous states have the option to choose FREE Economy Ground Shipping. For all other orders and shipping methods, we charge the actual cost to ship your order. Note that our shipping volume has allowed us to negotiate discounted rates with both UPS and FedEx. We pass the discount on to you.

The shipping charges shown for my order seem high. Is this correct?

Despite years refining our shipping calculator to reflect accurate weights and volumes, the system occasionally overestimates. We audit our shipping charges weekly. When we find an overcharge, we refund the difference to you. (If you would like us to double-check the shipping estimate before you place your order, just let us know and we'll pack it up to get you the exact cost!)

Returns & Exchanges

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We stand behind every product that we sell. If a product doesn't meet your expectations, you can send back the unused/unmodified item for a refund. We only ask that you let us know if you find a defect or other reason that it shouldn't go back on our shelf.

I ordered the wrong size (or shape, or color). Can I exchange it?

Absolutely! We recommend placing a new order for the parts you need first. Then, once you have confirmed that the replacements are what you need, send the incorrect items back for a refund.

How long do I have to return parts?

We will issue a full refund to the original payment method on items returned within 30 days. Items returned after 30 days, or non-defective items returned in non-saleable condition may be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

What do I need to do to initiate a return?

There is no need to call first. Just package your items securely and send them via the carrier of your choice to

SiliconeHoseHQ Returns
2475 S 179th St
New Berlin WI 53146

Please remember to include either a copy of your packing slip or a note with your contact information, and please let us know if there are any defects or problems with the parts that would prevent us from selling them again.

Product Questions

Product Questions

Can I use silicone hoses for oil?

No. Silicone is a poor choice for oil hose. It will stand up to occasional spills and oil mist, but constant exposure to oil or gasoline will attack and weaken silicone hose.

Can I use silicone hoses for fuel?

No. Silicone is a poor choice for fuel hose. It will stand up to an air-fuel mixture in an intake system, but constant exposure to liquid petroleum will attack and weaken silicone hose.

The exception is our Fuel-Safe Silicone Hose, which has an FKM liner to protect the silicone from fuel exposure.

Can I use silicone hoses for coolant?

YES! Silicone is an excellent choice for coolant hoses. Silicone rubber withstands exposure to water and glycol-based coolants better than old-fashioned rubber.

Can I use silicone hoses for intake?

YES! Silicone is an excellent choice for intake hoses. Our standard silicone hose is suitable for any part of the system under vacuum (i.e., after the air filter but before the turbo). For any pressurized portion of the system (after the turbo or supercharger), use our CAC (Charge Air Cooler) hoses.

What are the temperature limits of silicone hose?

Our standard silicone hose is rated to temperatures from -60° to 180° C (-76° to 350° F).
Our CAC (Charge Air Cooler) hoses are available for either the Cold Side (Blue, up to 180° C / 350° F) or the Hot Side (Red, up to 260° C / 500° F).

What is the hardness of silicone hose?

Our silicone hoses are oven-cured to a Shore A hardness between 65 and 75. This is soft enough to stretch over barbs and conform under clamping pressure, but rigid enough to resist extruding out from under hose clamps.

Do your silicone hoses meet any standards?

Yes, our silicone hoses meet or exceed SAE J20R4, Class A specifications.

Are the hose sizes you list the ID or OD?

All of our hoses are listed by ID (Inside Diameter) because they get installed over a tube or pipe.

My application calls for a diameter between two sizes. Should I go larger or smaller?

It depends on a couple of factors. If the tube has a bead or barb with an OD that is within 1mm of the hose ID, you can often use the larger size. Our hoses are generally able to stretch to fit over an OD approximately 5% to 10% larger than the hose nominal ID. For example, a 19mm hose can be stretched over a 20mm tube, but if the tube has a 22mm bead, use the larger 22mm hose.
